The Gulf of Mexico Interim Local Network was formed in November 2009 by Ralph Ladd and Steve Mustard.  The local network has around 350 members in five states: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.  A satellite group has been started in Tampa, Florida by Adrian Jenkyn.  The GoM ILN is in the process of developing partnerships with BP and IMechE.
