Outstanding Student Prize Ceremony
The IET Sweden Network was delighted to present to Mr. Daniel Månsson the IET Sweden Networks, Outstanding Student Prize at a ceremony in Uppsala University. This was the first time that the network has awarded the prize and the event proved to be a rewarding endeavour.
In front of almost 40 participants, 5 of whom were IET members, the IET Sweden Network Chairman, Dr. Murari Saha, presented Daniel with a Certificate and cheque for his outstanding work in his chosen topic of research, Electromagnetic Compatibility and Intentional Electromagnetic Interference.
Despite some mix ups with promoting the event, the turn-out proved to be much greater than expected and it was clear that the participants left with a good impression of the IET. The ceremony was a perfect forum to introduce the Institution to a potential new audience and boost awareness our aims and activities.
For 2008-09, the Sweden Network plans to present 2 student prices and with the experience of this first event behind us, hopes to reach even more people and promote the IET’s activities in Sweden to a wider audience than is usually the case at our technical events.
