Summary

The annual meeting combines the AGM of the IET Germany Network with two technical talks by distinguished speakers, a dinner with live music and a guided tour of the historic town of Fulda.

Saturday 4th October

12:00 – 13:00 AGM of the Michael Faraday Institution e.V. (MFI).

13:00 – 14:00 Registration for meeting, refreshments available.

14:05 Partners' programme departs for visit to Schloss Fasanerie (see "downloads").

14:05 Welcome by Chairman of IET Germany Network.

14:15 – 15:05 AGM of IET Germany Network.

15:05 – 15:15 Break

15:15 – 16:45 The IET Prestige Lecture: "Our energy future" by Professor Alex Bradshaw CBE, Scientific Director, Max-Planck Institute for plasma physics, Garching.

16:45 – 17:00 Refreshments

17:00 – 18:30 The MFI Kelvin Lecture: "Tidal Power Generation" by Dr. Mike Wrigley FIET, Chairman IET France Network.

18:30 End of session.

18:30 Drinks at the bar.

18:30 - 19:30 Professional Registration Counseling. Advice on how to proceed towards the CEng and IEng qualifications.

20:00 Buffet dinner with international specialities in the hotel.

21:30 Live music. Brazilian musical entertainment by Cleo and Anthony. Dance to "Keybalada" rhythms.

 

Sunday 5th October

10:00 Tour lasting approximately 2 hours on foot of the Old Town of Fulda and the Fulda Residenzschloss.Followed by lunch in a traditional restaurant. Wiesenmühle. Includes a vegetarian selection.

14:30 End of event.
