Peter Morgan
Peter Morgan retired to the val de Loire in 2002 in search of sunshine and a relaxed environment. He edited the French centre web page for some years, until the limitations of a rural dial-up connection made it impracticable to continue.
Peter obtained an M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics at Lancaster University and then joined the British Antarctic Survey, where he spent two years running a geophysical observatory in the Antarctic. Following this, he joined the UK MOD, Signals Research and Development Establishment, where he worked on the analysis, design, and implementation of a variety of digital communications systems. He moved into industry in 1979, where he became involved in the analysis and specification of military Command and Control systems in the UK, Germany and Singapore. Subsequently his activities included analysis and modelling of expert decision-making, and the development of systems analysis and specification techniques and tools; his particular interests were in the analysis of C2 system behaviour, and in individual and group decision-making in high work-load environments. Over the years, he presented a number of papers on these and related topics at IEE conferences and US DoD research symposia.
