As a family event, we offer the opportunity for Members to meet other Members in convivial surroundings without the hassle of babysitters. In fact some might say that it was the kids that had the best time last time round.

To cover the cost of the food and drink (including draught Adnams' bitter), we will be asking for a contribution to the cost.

Families who want to get the most from their day might like to consider a visit to the Château d'Auvers with its multi-language multi-media visit to the world of the Impressionist painters which kids from 5 to 75 will find fascinating. Auvers sur Oise is also home to Van Gogh's "Blue Church" and his and Théo's tombs. Barbecue plus château would mean being in Auvers at the 10h30 opening time. There is also the traditional market which occupies most of the centre of Pontoise on a Saturday morning and a special exhibition at the Musée Tavet, just across from the town hall, includes works by Chagall, Modigliani, Nussbaum, Orloff, Zadkine and several others.
