A New Year often brings new changes, challenges and opportunities and for many people in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region we are experiencing this in everyday life, through work, home and social lives
For the IET, 2011 was also a year of change in many areas, however we are now starting 2012 and the new year will see an increased focus on delivery of the IET activity plans in the region. 2012 will see ideas turning into action.
The EMEA region is one of the most diverse and exciting regions within the IET, covering many countries, cultures, and languages. We represent around 25% of the LNs and 4% of total membership within the IET.
We have an enthusiastic committee and an ambitious plan for the 2012 session but in order to ensure the successful delivery of the plan we need to have regular and effective communication with you, our active volunteers. Email communication is no replacement for face-to-face contact and in 2012 we aim to be increasing activity on the ground to promote networking, increasing events, and engaging with existing and potential members.
