IET Germany Network
IET Local Networks are managed by groups of volunteers. Networks organise events to raise awareness of science, engineering and technology in their local area and promote membership of the IET. All Network events are open to the public and most are free of charge.

Brief history of the IET Germany Network
Founded as the IEE German Centre, the IET Germany Network was formally inaugurated in Nuremberg on 13 April 1991 with the first Chairman of the Committee being Keith Wilkinson. Professor Heinz Wolff gave the first lecture to a distinguished audience including Peter von Siemens and Dr John Williams, Secretary of the then IEE. The pages of the Germany Network are maintained by Alan Teale as Webmaster.
New Webmaster and Assistant Webmaster appointed from 1st January 2010
On 1st January 2010 Robert Bradlaw will take over from the current Webmaster Alan Teale. Robert will be assisted by Alistair Gill as Assistant Webmaster.
