Years ago there was a spate of Li-ion battery fires in laptops and phones. A google search shows that fire services are warning that there is still a fire problem with charging them. Why hasn't this been brought up regarding the Dreamliner problem. It doesn't seem that they are sufficiently reliable for airborne use..
