Hi I am Chartered Engineer working in Building Services Engineering field as Quality and Environmental Manager, Environmental Engineer is a hot position in construction industry. I did some research on this area and find out some other professional bodies offer its member as Chartered Environmentalist such as ICE, Society of Operation Engineers etc.. I hope IET will offer such professional status for us. I believe quite a lot of us are working in construction/building industry. The professional status is valuable for us. Thank you

We have looked at this in the past but a view was taken that there was insufficient demand from IET members to justify IET becoming a body licensed to award CEnv. We prioritised other collaborative arrangements such as CITP.

If there was evidence of a clear demand, then we would reconsider.

I am involved in the Built Environment Sector Steering Group and could mention it there, but I think realistically sufficient numbers of interested members need to make a case. For example via local networks, special interest groups and elected representatives on the IET council.

If a viable demand could be identified, then I don't think there would be any resistance to exploring it again.
