I would like to be highlighted as to which gets assessed first when applying for both at the sametime. How is the applicant updated on progress with his application.

They would be assessed independantly by different people, unaware of the other application.
For Engtech you would receive a phone call to say they have received your application.
For TMIET you will just get info in the post, or they will contact you for further information.

Personally, i would get the TMIET out of the way first before applying for EngTech. The turnaround for TMIET is quicker than for EC applications.

Thanks, but I think I used a combo application form, which applies for both at the sametime, of which I paid for IET membership first and later I paid for professional registration. My aim was to have TMIET done first then EngTech to come after. It clearly stated that one must be a member of professional institution before he regeisters with EC.

It is all fine I am waiting for a positive update.

I am going to mentor my two (almost finished) apprentices in the next few months for TMIET and EngTech applications. I believe the route is TMIET, then EngTech. Being TMIET approved must make EngTech approval easier?

I was just wondering how long it takes to TMIET and also how long it takes for the EngTech

TMIET first, then EngTech within 2-month after PRI.
