I submitted my CEng application through Career Manager in September 2012. I had my interview on the 8th February 2013. I was initially informed that my application would be submitted to the end-of-February Registration Panel. However, I have now learned that I missed this panel and my application has instead gone for remote registration assessment, meaning another 2-3 weeks delay. Has anyone been through the same experience with the remote assessment and how does it differ to the normal process?
I'm not usually impatient but am getting rather nervous now with the time it takes to get a result. Simon Jones BEng(Hons) MSc MIET |

Simon, it sounds to me as though things are going well for you so far, and actually good progress is being made! An external assessment instead of waiting for the next panel - VIP treatment
Seriously, don't be concerned. The IET are a victim of their own success when it comes to the numbers going for registration. ------------------------- David Parr BSc.CEng MIET PRA |
