They call the Engineering Technician "Engineer " , too! Anyway Post Secondary Education is HIIGHER EDUCATION ! The graduate Industrial Perito is a three-year university graduate-with a Technolgy approach. He follows this acadmeic route after gaining the five-year (after middle school ) Secondary Education Diploma of Industrial Perito.. In both cases, after 2 years of practical training (Tirocinio ) + the passing the prescribed theoretical State Examination and finally having their names inscribed in the State Register ( ALBO ), they may practicise as non-engineers professionals ! A twin path follows also the Surveyor ! ------------------------- Luciano Bacco |

Thank you sunnyboy for the details. I'm here again to point out they are authoized to lead teams and to perform, up to a certain extent, DESIGN work ! The full denomination is : Industria Perito Capo Tecnico (Technical Chief or Chef Technician ), as it is written on their Technical College /University Diploma. I would like to know how the EC and the IET consider them in the British Engineering context ! Regards ------------------------- Luciano Bacco Edited: 22 August 2010 at 07:32 AM by sunnyboy |
