Candidates are expected to have a minimum level of competence in A, B, C, D and E. Every candidate is different, as engineers are found in academia, industry, management, etc. So, candidates will have different strengths in different competence areas. However, A and B are important, as they relate spefically to engineering. Areas C, D and (to a certain degree) E are more generic in nature, and could relate to other non-engineering professions.

Thanks Sashi. That didn't answer my question though. I'm trying to get as much advice from those in a moire fortunate posiion than me so that 'I know the exam question'. If I don't know the question I can't give an answer and the information I've been given thus far iscontradictory and highly subjective. I'm trying 'to build a case' if you like.
