Hi there I have been sent a task from my boss. Here goes, what I need to know is when you switch the neutal with an earth but the singal phase supply is in the right position. I am only receive ing 50volt . Rather then the 110 that the transsfomer is given me .

OK - I'm not doing you homework for you, but perhaps if you google "centre tapped earthed transformer" then you'll find a diagram showing you the 230V primary winding and the arrangement of the secondary winding - which will have 3 discrete points on it - applying the volt meter to relevant points will show you two voltages

You can figure it out from there
