Hi All,

I have been tasked to find an Intrisicly Safe Ground Tester. does anyone have any ideas who/where i could find one of these.

It is to carry out works within a petrochemical site with EX ai requirements.

hope you can assist.

Welcome to TheIET.

You are not by any chance an Apprentice or new starter ?
Finding Intrinsic Safe Ground is not dissimilar to carrying steam in a bucket......do you know where it is once you have found it ?!

There are various ground/earth testers such as Megger and Fluke - Fluke have a specific earth ground tester.


Has your site not already have a Megger instrument ?
