Please can anyone refer me to a Cibse lighting guide which recommends lux level for the above. The room in question will be used for GCSE exams.

Thanks

I found some useful documents on the web as follows:

http://www.partnershipsforscho..._Lighting_systems.pdf

http://www.fagerhult.co.uk/ovr...rhult_Education.pdf?d

http://www.cibse.org/pdfs/OPUS2004.pdf

http://www.cibse.org/pdfs/lg5addendum.pdf

For further queries you should contact CIBSE

You need Lighting Guide 5 and Building Bulletin 90 published by CIBSE and DFeS respectively (the latter should be freely available from TeacherNet)
