Hi, what's the American equivalent certification system to ATEX.

There isn't a direct US equivalent of the EU ATEX directive (or any other directive for that matter)
The applicable rules are covered by section 500 of National Electrical Code, published by the National Fire Protection Association. AUIU, compliance is typically demonstrated by testing to recognised IEDC standand and Listing by an NRTL - if the EN/IEC standard is sufficiently similar or harmonised with US, there may be no or limited testing Charlie |
