Hi
I've got one customer complaining about noise from a light transformer and one about noise from a light dimmer. Does anyone know a reliable source for quiet lighting equipment? Thanks Stephen |

There is an old and well established company that has been making almost silent lighting equipment for decades. The lights themselves are also extremely economical in terms of electricity usage.
The company? Prices Candles! Seriously though, it's very much trial and error. Some dimmers buzz more than others, and also dependant upon the type of load. Many of the high end switch and accesory manufacturers make their own dimmers, and some of the more renowned decorative firms use Hamilton dimmers. Richmond Grid500 are alwys worth a punt, but make sure the back box is deep enough. Danlers make a broad range of digital dimmers which are supposedly very reliable, and we are finding them more and more common in job specifications. ------------------------- Regard Richard (Dick) www.rllewellyn.co.uk |
