It is possible for users to be able to send private messages but to choose not to receive them. I have had a couple of occasions where I have attempted to answer a PM and, having spent some effort composing the reply, find I am unable to send it.
The senders probably assume that I am ignoring them, and there is no way of me letting them know I'm not. Can you please change the system so that users can only send a message providing they are willing to receive a reply? Thank you, ------------------------- David Parr BSc.CEng MIET PRA |

I think that's a very reasonable suggestion, but this Fusetalk system is off-the-shelf software. Where we make modifications (and we have), it makes upgrades difficult - we're currently looking at version 4 and this is a current issue.
I'll raise it first with the suppliers as a suggestion, and hope that they will implement it. Regards ------------------------- David Rossall The Institution of Engineering and Technology |

Should have noted - in case of difficulty, please let us know and we'll pass on a message, especially given your role with the IET.
