I don't believe that I have come across this problem before. Are there any specific pages where it happens? If you cannot log out and need to, deleting your IETLOGONSESSIONID cookie will force the ending of your log in. You would only remain logged in from day to day if you had chosen "Remember Me" when submitting your username and password.
