Hello,
I received an email recently from the IET about 'MyIET' and finding out about local news, events and such. Are these generally aimed at more experienced industry professionals / decision makers or would it be relevant to someone just starting out in the industry or anyone with just a passing interest / not relevant to their career? Could anyone share their experiences? Thanks! |

All the local branch lectures I have been to have been general interest, open to everybody who is interested.
Very few have actually been relevant to my career. ------------------------- S P Barker BSc PhD MIET |

Each Local Network decides on its own events, so it may vary slightly region to region, but basically they are aimed at anybody (IET members or not) with an interest in engineering and technology. Think the E&T magazine, or better editions of BBC's "Horizon".

Great!
It's nice to see there are several events in London/Kent and which are free too. |
