Hi there,

Just wondered when the 2012 diary will be posted out?

Many thanks,

Richard.

richii - the main mailing went some weeks ago, as ectophile says. I've passed your details on and asked for another to be sent. I've checked your account and it is set for you to receive one.

Hi David,

Thanks very much for passing on my details. I am happy to report that a new diary arrived yesterday. Very pleased with it. I guess the first one got lost in the mail.

Great service from you - thank you so much.

Richard.

williamjohn, it's not necessary to renew the request every year. However, for whatever reason, your diary option is not selected. You can check this in My IET, as explained in earlier messages in this thread.

I'm not sure from your update whether you still require a diary. The best method for any IET member who would like a diary sent is to use the enquiry form, making sure that you quote your membership number.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

richii - you're welcome.

Thank you David for your quck response.
I was registered for and received the 2011 diary so I don't know why I did not get one this year. However, I did not use the diary information during 2011 so do not need the 2012 diary.
Best wishes
John

Hi David,

I am registered for a diary , but since I live in Canada and assume that the diary delivery will be several weeks behind that of the U.K. for me, I was wondering if it had been mailed out to me yet, as I have not received it.

I believe last year it came attached to the monthly magazine.

Thanks,

I don't have direct access to the information, but I have passed your enquiry on to the Membership department.

I was out of the office yesterday, so it has taken a little time for me to respond. I would suggest to members that the enquiry form that I linked below is the quickest route to get an answer on these questions, as I am simply passing them into the same enquiry queue as does that form.

Thanks David,

I did use the inquiry form via MY IET before using this discussion forum , but for some reason felt that when I hit the send button, my inquiry did not go through.

I have tried the second time using the inquiry form and hopefully this time it went through.

I never got a 2012 diary even though the option was ticked on my profile. I sent an email enquiry as to where it had gone a few days ago. I hope it got through.

I received a response yesterday regarding my inquiry and was told the diaries are out of stock and will be sent one in January.

I have about 6 diaries on my desk (a secret stash!) if anyone would like one. Please email me your address at jhudson@theiet.org.

I missed the opt-in notification. Having opted in on 31Dec11, I received the following msg:

The following details have been updated:
. You have opted to receive a diary after 2012

Apologies for being pedantic but does this mean I will not get a 2012 diary or was this a standard message from 2012 onwards.

I also never got a 2012 diary, even though the option is ticked in my profile. Have I now missed my chance of getting one, and if so, how do I at least get one for next year?

Diaries are sent out around September time. If you have changed your preference since then, and would like a 2012 diary, please contact customer services, making clear that your request is for this year's diary rather than for a change of preference.

It is now Feb.3rd and after contacting Customer Services in Nov., of last year was promised that the diary would be sent to me in January.

What bothers me about this is the fact that several members on here had not received their diary due to the fact that IET had run out of diaries. Amazing, yet one of the staff members writes to say she has a private stash on her desk. How many more staff had private staches on their desks.

I have once again have e-mailed Customer Services about the diary, but will it be worth the bother.

Thank you for drawing this to our attention. Could I suggest that you use the enquiry form?
