Hi,
I have just moved over from the UK to New Zealand and I am trying to help out a fellow member with me, and am lookig to become a mentor... Is there any advice on what I would have to do to help out??

Depending on the type of mentoring relationship we provide training and information for those seeking to become a mentor. The IET also have a volunteering service for those who want us to help them find a mentee (although it would appear from your message that you have already got someone that you are supporting).

Hi Kathryn

I have someone that needs a little help and guidance regarding Chartership and their career path etc.

I have offered to be a mentor, depending on what would be typically involved.
Also I would like to be able to sign off some of their chartership application....

I have looked at the website, and it doesn't really help, and I don't fancy travelling half way around the world to attend a course to mentor, especially if I am having to pay for it myself...

So could you give me a basic outline of whats expected, and what I can and cant do???

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
