Seems like a good course or method to get your Sons into Engineering and they could get an I Eng or CEng via the IET. The cost though is another thing.

If you choose this course you will benefit from:
. Accreditation from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) at the Incorporated Engineer level. This course will be submitted to the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for Chartered Engineer accreditation.
. Close links with employers in the performance engineering industry, including Red Bull Racing, the Auto-Cycle Union, Lotus Cars, Penske Racing and Triumph Motorcycles
. Regular lectures delivered by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
