It sounds to me like we are doing your college assignment question by question.

On a CT metering enclosure, there is normally a test terminal block provided on the front (or sometimes inside the first door). The terminal names pretty much speak for themselves.

I have come across din rail mounted test terminals or panel mounted test blocks such as the Midos system.

VT test terminals are standard terminals allowing you to measure the VT voltage, they may have adapters for 4mm test plugs built into them.

The CT test terminals allow you to connect in series with the CT circuit to measure the current, they short out automatically when the meter is disconnected to maintain the circuit.

Some din rail systems I have come across involved links that could be moved manually to short out the CT or connect a meter into the circuit.

Kind regards

Interesting Thread , Could you guys recommend a few manufactures that produce these test block , I'm looking for solutions that has Aux Contacts that can be used for permissive conditions - Front Panel Mount and DIN rail Type.
