Some time ago the issue of establishing 'Private wire' systems was being raised.
The connection of a series of generation equipment , mostly renewables, to a local transmission lines owned by the community. With the event of electrical storage technics and smart meters this should now be easier. It is my opinion that this would give a community more control over its electrical supply, and would lead to more awareness of the need to save energy. It also forms a means of economic regeneration of a community by decreasing the amount of money leaving the commnuity as well as bringing money money in whilst the F.I.T. remains. |
