Hi Ken, that question sounds suspiciously like you're a spambot but I'll bite:
> Is there an International Standard for PV Inverters to shut down when tied to the grid? Yes: From sunset to sunrise unless they're arc-lamp powered Spanish solar panels like these: http://wattsupwiththat.com/201...-insanity-of-greenery/ |

For Ipayyoursalary: Thanks. However I am seeking info re the international standard for the shut-down time for pv inverters when connected to the local grid. This time is quoted in milliseconds...can you say if there is an International Standard time? |

I'm not sure there is a single international standard. Here in the UK, we use G83/1 or its successor G83/2. There's no guarantee that any other country's standards will be the same.

I'd expect European countries will be similar as I believe that this 16A/phase consideration came from some harmonisation agreement.
You could have a word with the guys at SMA who are a significant manufacturer of grid inter-tie inverters for the Euro market. http://www.thepowerstore.com/r...-Zr9wLUCFePHtAodMEcAlw ------------------------- Jonno |
