Good day,

I am new to simulink and have been trying to create a simple model that takes an induction machine with a fixed 3phase supply, attach it to a variable mechanical load and run the machine through severley underloaded to full load to severely overloaded and plot the p.f. output graph.

1) is this simple?
2) are there any tech notes that could help?
3) has anyone done this before that could possibly share their knowledge.

Many thanks for your time

Hi Alex,

Have you tried Googling phrases like:

"induction machine with a fixed 3 phase supply" ?

That turned up some links to Matlab File Exchange such as:

http://www.mathworks.co.uk/mat...induction-motor-drive

It might also be worth hunting for Octave, Scilab and Scicos files too.

Andy thanks,

I have tried some .mdl files and have seen some good stuff, I'm just struggling to find the variable mechanical load.

I shall battle on.

Many thanks for your reply

Alex
