Greetings All,
Breakers with magnetic actuator type mechanism is recently introduced in our distribution network. Though manufacturer claims less moving parts, maintenance etc, we had noticed during site tests that this type draw larger dc currents during operation and operating times especially closing time is abnormally high (in the range of 150ms or more) compared to a spring charge type. We wish to have your experience of using such breakers. Is bigger operating times has any adverse effect on the network? Regards |
