I recently inspected a feeder module for an upgrade to an existing switchboard. However the toroid of 250A load rating has a large aperture which passes 4x1x70mm^2 cable (TPN for UPS Feed) so the CT was mounted at <30dg to the cable, within the limited space in the rear cable compartment, to feed a 0.03-30A ELR.
As the CT should be at 90dg for normal metering, will the angular fit be less sensitive (sinA) to residual currents with modern toroids? Edited: 19 October 2012 at 08:40 PM by dmjs |
