We are looking at replacing some old OCBs with VCBs, due to the switchboard being no longer in manufacture and no flexibility to enable complete replecement of the switchboard, we are having the VCBs prototype built for this board. The VCBs will have to undergo complete type testing to BS 62271-100.

Does anyone know of approved HV type testing labs. or used any?

Hi cbett,

You could try the NaREC test lab up at Hebburn. They should be able to sort something out.
