Hi Im trying to find out what plug settings were available on the CDG11 O/Current Standard Inverse Series Relays. I have located some data for other models (CDG12/13/14 etc) , but GEC or Areva as they are now. Dont have any info on them. Anyone have a really old catalogue laying around. Im after the min/max plug settings for these old devices.

Just a long shot really.

Regards

Stuart

American relays have full CT current settings marked as 10 while British relays have it as 1.0.

Most of relays have plug settings of 20, 40, 60, 100 and 120 percent of CT full current.

There are special relays available with 10% interval plug settings also.

Thanks for the link, I have the PDF already but its not specific to the CDG11. I managed to track down a photo of the front view of a cdg11, and it appears to have regular Tap spacings, which is un-common.

Stuart,

I have a copy of GEC Measurements publication R-5090D for CDG11 and CDG16 relays.
It gives the current settings at;

Equally spaced tap ranges
10 - 40%, 20 - 80% or 50 - 200% of 0.1, 1.0 or 5.0 amps, adjustable in seven equal steps.

Graded tap ranges
10 - 40%, 20 - 80% or 50 - 200% of 0.1, 1.0 or 5.0 amps and 30 - 120% or 80 - 320% of 5 amps, adjustable in seven unequal steps of 25%, 30%, 37.5%, 50%, 60%, 75% and 100% of top tap value.

If you have an email address, I will scan it (4 pages) and send it to you.

Regards.

Hi thats Fantastic info

Just the info I was looking for, most of the CDG relays have the Graded Tap settings, but the CDG11 had other equal taps. IF you could email a scan that would be most appreciated.
