Hi
I am interested to know if anybody knows of a website that describes the set of documents that would be typically required for an electronic product that takes it from the requirement stage through design and into manufacture. This would be in the industrial/commercial sector.

I know in the defence sector there are standards like MIL-STD-498, although this refers to software.

Also what document would show engineering calculations used in the design. What document would show engineering calculations used in calculating the limits in a test procedure,

Include "Quality management system" in your web searches

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quality_management_system

in practice your documentation can be either project orientated or product orientated.

I suppose you could make product documentation more project orientated by defining an internal customer within the organisation right from the start.
