Hi just after a little advise if anyone could help please. Iv got to change a switched fuse in a form 4 panel from a 32A to a 64A and upgrade the tails to the bus bars, the existing bus bars would not need any modification. The customer wants me to certify the modification. I'm at a bit of a loss where to start the MCC is about 15years old and i have no information other that what i can ascertain from a visual inspection. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

You have not mentioned existing drawings or any other paperwork.

IMO if there is no original Test or Installation Certificates, then I would take the view that, whilst the existng busbars would be more than adequate, you may change the short circuit characteristics of the whole board.
This would then need a full technical appraisal for re-Certification.

Otherwise you would be amending the original Certification.
