Hi all

Not really sure if this is the place to post this so sorry if not right

I am trying to construct a model to analyse the crash response of aluminium honeycomb and need some help/guidance

I have been able to fully construct the required model in design modeller and apply the required boundary conditions and solver requirements, however in am getting a solver energy error when trying to solve.

The model is formed from surfaces and is supported by a rigid surface support and impact body. The model is just a small section of the honeycomb and is restrained by displacements/ symmetry (tried both separately) to stop it wandering off during simulation. I have applied the same set up to a simple tube section with no problems at all and have narrowed the problem down to the symmetries

Does anyone have any ideas as I really need this to work, I have tried all of the available options and have spent hours on Google but no luck

Sorry to ramble on in my first post but though it better as much info was present as possible, I can post an image if this helps
