Does anyone know if there are any UK standards/codes requiring continuous/non-continuous numbering of wires throughout Form 4 MCC?

We've recently switched to a new CAE software (Elecworks) and it only does continuous numbering of wires. Before we used to have identical wire numbers in similar motor starters (in separate cubicles). It was so much more easier to wire & test.

It used to (in general) depend on end client specifications.

The alternative is to have numbers with prefixes or suffixes.
If I were you I'd find a 'workaround' if your drawing system software insists on continuous numbering.
