My company manufactures a device which incorporates high energy Lithium batteries mounted in a fully encapsulated non-opening enclosure. I am a bit concerned as 2006/66/EC and BERR Batteries and Accumulators (Placing on the Market) Regulations 2008 specify that batteries MUST be made removable for disposal.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a waiver, or similar, from this legislation? Or, who would be a good point of contact. Nick Walker |
