Hi - again, I hope this is the correct forum for this query - am going to be threading 20mm galvanized steel conduit. I have been supplied with a bender and a set of imperial dies, such as 1/2", 3/4" etc. I believe these are BSP thread sizes. My question is, should I be using a 20mm die, or is that the same as 1/2" BSP? Thanks, John.

The dies wont be BSP. BSP threads are deeper and have a bigger pitch.
3/4 conduit and 20mm conduit are similar but not quite the same. the threads are different, if fact you can get conversion nipples that convert a 3/4 male thread to 20mm male. unless you have a supply of 3/4 fittings invest in a 20mm die, it should fit in your existing stocks.
