I work as the Community Development Manager for the IET's Manufacturing Enterprise Network and I am currently speaking to people in this thriving community to ask how I can improve the quality of our web area. As a member of the manufacturing community what would you want from a manufacturing website?

My aim is to disseminate knowledge and facilitate networking in both an offline and online capacity.

It would be great to hear your thoughts!

I would like to see what is current in the manufacturing world with regard to the latest and proven techniques. What techniques do the successful companies consistantly use? and what is a fad. An example is concurrent engineering, how many companies use this technique, is it a 'core' tool or not in manufacturing? what are the pro's and con's?
