According to Ping Fu's memoir (Bend, Not Break: A Life in Two Worlds), pp. 60-61, Sylvester Stallone, a Hollywood celebrity, sexually harassed Ping Fu at a Chinese restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Stallone allegedly startled Ping Fu by reaching around and grabbing her rear end with his enormous right hand. Instead of giving an appropriate apology, Sylvester Stallone allegedly laughed and told Ping Fu, "Do it again."
As an advisor to President Barak Obama, Ms. Fu should condemn the alleged sexual harassment by Sylvester Stallone when she was working as a waitress in order to financially support herself through college. Sexual harassment is a serious allegation that should not be tolerated in our American society, regardless of the relative socio-economic status of the alleged sex offender and the alleged victim. As a successful corporate executive serving on President Obama's advisory council, Ms. Fu should set a good example by publicly demanding an apology from Stallone for the alleged misconduct. |
