We have just had some new IT cabinets installed within one of our data centres which are fed DC. On inspection the kit has American style black & grey cables installed & to cover this the installer has placed a BS7671 label stating different cabling methods installed on the installation.

Can anyone confirm whether this is sufficient or not as ultimately there is not a mix of blue/grey & black/grey its just simply black/grey?

Are there any refs. within the regs relating to this?

For DC the colours depend on how the system is earthed.
Under the new colours brown is positive and grey is negative, but if a pole is connected to earth then it should be blue.
