Hi,
I am trying to interface some custom electronics with an x86 processor using a PCI express bus. The custom electronics uses an SPI bus and I need some sort of bridge between this bus and the PCI express bus. Has anyone got any experience of this sort of development? I am keen to move away from FPGAs but have a feeling that this might be part of the solution. Kind Regards, Al |

Hi Alan,
We've worked extensively with PCI Express interfaces for custom electronics and add-in cards. For your SPI to PCIe application, I would recommend a PCIe protocol bridge from PLX Technology. Link removed/products/expresslane/bridges Regards, StrykerTECH Engineering Staff |
