Hello!

During the last 8 years the company I work for has used Mitsubishi A1SCPU-S1 in automation control system. Recently, we've encountered the problem on the module mentioned above: the module doesn't function at all, having only ERROR led continually ON and RUN led blinking. The fail in the functioning of the module appeared after the power failure and at that time the charge level of the backup battery was 2V. Our engineers tried to reset it, but the problem wasn't solved.
If you could advise me on how to resolve this situation and suggest what options are left to recover the module and to reprogram it, considering that we don't have the programming tools for it.

Thanks in advance!

If the CPU has a flashing Red LED then you can be fairly sure it has self diagnosed a fault condition. You can almost guarantee from the symptoms you have described the application program may have corrupted / disappeared on power failure and low battery voltage.

The next point where or who has the software to download back into the CPU. If you have not got it, was your system provided by a systems integrator. If so they should have programming equipment. Finally change the battery !

The moral of this story is - retain a backup of all software and have a plan to deal with it. Also have a policy of battery change before the end of it's useful life.

This types of failures happens when there is failure of power and with restart of system, power supply modules not working. check the modules if some hardware failure occurs inside the card, replace it and download the program from ur backup files, hope it will works, check ur voltage level n harmonics....
