Automated Guided vehicles regulations and certification. We have an interesting problem that came up with our German/ Australian counterparts. The question is about certification of a complete AGV system. In the UK I think individual component manufactures I.E. automatic fire doors certificates should be sufficient for their equipment and our AGV certs should cover us IE our robots.
Taken all together doors fire shutters Etc we pass or hold open become part of a transport system. Why would one certify the other manufactures equipment, even if it interacts with AGVs as a 'System' ? What are the relevant regulations if any covering AGV Systems in the UK? your thoughts would be most welcome. |
