I am designing a power supply which has an output of up to 1000V AC single phase and a max capacity of 3KVA at 600V reducing proportionately up to 1000V.
I am having trouble finding a switching device for the output (<=1000V). Plenty of devices upto the 690V threshold but then a void until you hit 3.3 KV ish.
The unit this is going into is fairly compact so the device needs to be reasonably small (100mm cube is probably near max).
The control voltage is envisaged at 24V DC although is flexible in the 5 - 32 V DC range. The control voltage also needs to have no direct connection to the line supplies as with some Thyristor devices.
The unit will require to be in the ON state for months / years at a time typically so operation time is not that critical, 100's of mS is fine.
