Finally,I have been given approval to research and build an inverter.
I have decided that it would be a modified sine wave inverter,it would produced continuous power of 300W and will Convert 12V DC TO 120V AC. My question is at what point do I specified the Total Harmonic Distortion and the efficiency? Do I randomly pick values for the efficiency and THD and then work to achieve them? ------------------------- ------------------------- E OMUATAISE |

Hi Omuataise,
Your design problem is a either a CSI or VSI based, depending on your design specifications. There are existing governing equations to realise your objective, however THD is a seperate phenomenum entirely and can be intrinsic or extrinsic in nature. That too has existing governing equations as you will find out as your search progresses and you will surely realise when you should start dealing with them. Good Luck! B. B. Bukata |
