Hi all
I have been trying to get myself up to speed with PLC's for a little while, I even managed to find a fully funded introductory course run by a local college however there has never been enough interest to run it. I am trying to find engineers who would be interested in a weeks plc training in Harwell at the end of November or start of December. The course would be part or fully funded and would part funded would probably cost about 300 pounds. The course may be fully funded but it depends on numbers. The more people the more chances of it happening. To be eligible for the course the candidates must work in a small to medium size business with less than 250 employees and less than 34million turnover. If you are interested please reply to this or drop me a PM. Kind regards Andy |

Hi Andy
Depending on how much the course costs, you might want to look at the price for a PLC and software yourself. I see a Telemechanquie - sorry Schneider Electric Twido PLC 24Vdc supply, 10 I/O rly O/P will set you back £97.00 and if you search on their website or simply google TwidoSuite you can download the programming software. How much is the college course and I'll sort on out for half price ;-) Feel free to PM |

Hi Richard
Thanks for the info, I have been on good old ebay looking at training equipment that you can use to physically play with PLC's and there is some good stuff out there but I would really prefer to start off on a proper interactive course. Most training is upwards of 600 pounds so I am hoping that this part funded course will be a lot cheaper than that. I really want to progress to Siemens S7 as quickly as possible and dont actually mind paying for it as long as I can get the initial training done relatively cheaply. Thanks for you help. Cheers Andy |

I now have a date of the 8th, 9th and 10th of December for a course. This will be 75% funded so will cost the delegates 150 pounds. It will be held in Harwell.
If anyone is interested can you get back to me asap at andyspink@hotmail.com or 07880 841229. I have four people confirmed but need two more to make this happen. Many thanks |
