I'm involved with installing small single site campus style tetra systems with some requiring in-building enhancer solutions using active repeaters. A couple of these systems have several buildings requiring enhancement and these are creating problems with call set up that I would like to ask for any ideas on.

Where no, or only one enhancer (low power repeater) is used I have not seen these issues, but where more than one in-building solution is installed I am seeing a great deal of call set-up failure, or simply TX not being granted on hand portables inside the buildings.

My thoughts are that possibly the uplink from the repeater is being seen by the second repeater and being further repeated resulting in possible phase problems. Or are Tetra base stations (Rohill in this case) susceptible to what looks like multipath issues?

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
