Hey all,
I am a graduate of Electronics & communications Engineering faculty and i have just arrived to USA for work. Sadly, i got some problems in the social security no. thing because my last name is not matching the birth certificate, so i have to wait for 7-8 weeks till i can get a SSN.

As i will be forced to stay at home for a long time, i am willing to have any advice in my field, what are the required skills in USA for an Electronics & communications engineer? and how can i improve it?
Also, any information about efficient online courses will be more than helpful in order to make use of time.

Thanks,
Rani

Hi there,

You may have settled in by now,

but have you come accross MOOC's?
they are Massively Open Online Courses, they are free!, and only demand about 1-2 hours study over 5 weeks or so.

hopefully you can find something relavant that you may want to persue
