Hi,
I graduated with an MSC in communications engineering from the university of Birmingham with merit and I'm currently looking for jobs in the RF test engineering field.

It's seems most positions put a lot of stress on the requirement for hands on experience in various RF measurement equipments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectral analyzers etc.

As such I'm looking for hands on training courses where I can gain hand on training on RF test and measurement equipments and test techniques. Would any one please be kind enough to advise me of any such training courses?

Hello Nahid,

I suppose that somebody looking to update their skills in this area (e.g. to learn about the latest tools or to develop what has been learnt so far) could look into the possibly free(?) training offered by manufacturers of test equipment, e.g. Agilent, Rohde & Schwarz, Aeroflex, Anritsu, etc. Others that also produce more general test gear, associated tools, software, etc. (e.g. National Instruments, the Mathworks, etc.) could also offer training in other aspects of testing etc. using their products.
Attending any course should be a good way to develop useful industry contacts with other delegates, etc.

You can obviously find information on courses, etc by searching online.

N.B. I am not recommending courses provided by any of these companies that I have mentioned - they are just names that popped into my head.

Best Regards,
Saleem
